If you were waiting for him in many, and eventually it happened. Dollhouse, the series created by Joss Whedon (former author of "Buffy. The Vampire Slayer" "Angel," "Firefly") was eliminated from the Fox television programming.
The television channel reported that Joss does not intend to produce more episodes beyond the 13 already planned for this second season of Dollhouse.
The only positive note for fans is that at least the remaining episodes will be aired regularly this December.
Whedon has therefore issued a prepared statement on its website, saying it is simply grateful to have worked with his staff, his players, its star, not once but for two seasons. He adds that believes that the series was improving a little every episode in a sensitive and yet there is still "much work to do to digest and disappointment." Also reveals that by airing the last episode we'll know something more about his next project, so his fans can not be left in the cold for very long.
As for Dollhouse, the adventure has been difficult.
Both Eliza Dushku ("Buffy," "Angel" and "Tru Calling" to name a few movies) that Whedon knows exactly how hard it is to see the cancellation of your project.
fact Dushku was not only the protagonist of the series, but also the manufacturer.
In the remaining episodes that will be distributed in December to attend the series Summer Glau (known to many as Cameron in "Terminator. The Sarah Connor Chronicles"). Nevertheless, the future disaster that we saw in "Epitaph One" (episode out of season on the developments planned for the series) will never be fully achieved nor discovered.
The series was certainly excellent. The fragmentary, combined with a general slowness of the narrative, was certainly the main problem.
The music then, it never stood out, remained flat on the bottom, are often too annoying. The acting was good, but nothing more, and the concept took too long to blossom fully.
Certainly, however, that the idea was really wonderful: an agency that erases the minds of some individuals (Doll) and then recreate the personality of all new planting in their brains, minds of people is completely different.
The genius of the bottom was that a similar basis the opportunity to undertake development of any kind. It can be as unpredictable as it varies. All
then, surrounded by a context Sci-Fi, which is always very pleasing to the television audience.
Yet something has gone wrong. Basically a
Dollhouse lacked that extra sparkle that makes other works by the small screen. It 's hard to say exactly what it is, but I did not have Dollhouse.
So, having cheered a lot for the series, I regret to admit that it leaves behind a product that will stay bright over time.
